Things make sense, but they don’t always make a sense that you can say in words. And that’s what I love about this language of cinema. It can say things that maybe a poet could say, but it can say things that conjure a feeling or a thought in an audience or in people, and it’s like, “how did that come in?” And it’s a phenomenon in this language of cinema: it can say abstractions.

Magical, magical language, and when it comes, many people who love concrete things, certain people just want to know exactly what everything means - and others love to dream, they love to go off on any kind of a mystery, as deep as possible, and they love not knowing, and yet every one of us has this thing called intuition. And we have a certain way of knowing for ourselves what things mean. But we don’t trust that thing too much.
